The Challenge
In recent months, we’ve been exploring a variety of new materials and dimensions. When Menaka and Anand approached us to design their home, we were thrilled by the opportunity. Menaka’s distinct aesthetic inspired us to create spaces that truly reflect her style. We meticulously curated each area, ensuring every corner was unique and had its own story to tell. Highlighted here are handmade tiles from Athangudi, which beautifully complement the Jaisalmer stone used in the living space, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas.
The Approach
For the other side of the living room, we wanted to create a more personal, much more eclectic kind of space – library-like. The idea was to craft a really cosy reading area for them to use. @mothership80’s collection of books and collectibles really brought alive the bookshelf we had designed and gave it so much character.

The Saree Storage
Menaka has a huge stunning collection of sarees. She came to us with a brief to figure a way to design storage for her silk sarees. She stores these in rolls covered carefully with cloth bags. After many iterations, we designed an entire wall with pegs to prop these pipes on – super easy access, they all get enough space plus they create an interesting story wall in her bedroom. Here’s a view of the Saree wall we created inside her walk-in wardrobe. In the first image you can see a small bit of her bedroom in the reflection.
