The Challenge

Brand identity for a children’s clothing line. The core concept revolved around play and the visual played with the typeface to create an ambigram. The word “ILLI” means bamboo in Malayalam and the entire packaging range uses natural, recycled elements to create that instant visual link with bamboo. The ambigram creates a template to extend the brand onto other products like stationery, bags, etc. The visual form also creates a design element that allows for a lot of play with the form itself.
